The ECE R22-06-approved Concept-XE brings together the past and present, as it features a retro 80s-style design, but incorporates the latest protection and ventilation technologies to offer the performance and comfort that most characterises the Arai brand. Technical characteristics Shell Outer shell made of PB e-cLc (Peripherally Belted e-Complex Laminate Construction). “R75 Shape”: outer shell design pattern (more resistant, rounded, and smooth) that offers greater energy dispersion capacity in the event of an impact and, therefore, greater protection. Variable Axis System (VAS): The visor mounting position is lowered, allowing for an average of 24 mm more space around both temples to provide an even smoother shape, thereby increasing the ability to dissipate impact energy. Inner shell made of EPS of different densities. Screen Clear VAS-V MaxVision (wide field of view) visor: offers excellent visibility in all seasons and is suitable for all types of riding. It comes with a Pinlock MaxVision anti-fog film as standard to prevent fogging, even in extremely humid conditions. It features the same screen closure system as F1 helmets, which prevents the screen from opening accidentally and is easy to operate, even when wearing gloves. A simple gesture allows you to activate the “de-mist” function or open the screen completely. Ventilation system The ventilation system is hidden in the shell. Air enters through the visor vents, passes through the EPS via a hidden triple-hole air channel, and exits through the two rear extractors, creating a Venturi effect. The helmet also has a six-hole air inlet with mesh in the chin bar that can be opened and closed from the inside to prevent dust from entering the helmet, and a rear extractor in the neck for greater ventilation.
